The lovingly designed semi-scale replica of the US Army's light Dodge Transporter from World War II resembles the legendary WC series of which almost 350,000 units were manufactured between 1940 and 1945. It was used as a cargo and weapon carrier, as a command, ambulance or delivery van. After the war, the WC series was further developed for civilian purposes and became one of the most successful and popular trucks worldwide. The versatility and the many special versions were legendary. A big advantage was the use of interchangeable components, which were the same in almost 80% of the trucks.
